About Expert in Mind Expert in Mind, run by Company Director, Zofia Ludwig, is an award- winning medico-legal company, specialising in mental health. We are experts in uniting professionals from the legal and medical sectors and we offer a unique personal service which really makes the difference. We provide Expert Witness reports, written by our esteemed panel of Psychologists and Psychiatrists, for Court proceedings in all areas of law including Family, Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Criminal, Housing and Immigration. Our panel of Experts is handpicked for their experience, expertise and reputation within their field. Expert in Mind delivers outstanding administration support to both Experts and Legal Professionals. Our skill for matching the right expert to each case saves precious time in the diaries of busy Experts, and Legal Professionals, allowing time to be spent on ensuring the best outcome for the client. Each Expert is assigned a personal case manager, with whom any aspect of a case can be discussed from start to finish. We are not a call centre, nor an agency, our service is much more personal. Our 14 strong (soon to be 18!) team’s motto is, ‘Teamwork makes the dreamwork!’ We have strong values which the entire team demonstrate every day; to be Positive, Respectful, Professional and Committed. Our Business Manager, Sophie, was finalist for Young Achiever of the Year at the Personal Injury awards. Zofia, Company Director, was a finalist for Business Woman of the Year at the Women of the Year awards. She was 1 of only 8 finalists selected from over 500 nominees. Another outstanding achievement was being featured in the 2020 Law & Justice Parliamentary Review highlighting Best Practice, a true honour and very proud moment for Expert in Mind! As for many, COVID-19 meant that we faced many challenges as a company and an industry. In addition, assessments and court hearings which were usually conducted face to face with many experts used to travelling around the country, were moved to remote assessments. This was quite the adaption, especially for many technophobes! The first month we saw a noticeable reduction in cases, however, from that point on fought to survive and have seen amazing growth, in fact our most successful year ever! At the start of 2020, we partnered with Combat Stress – the UK’s leading charity for Veterans’ Mental Health. Combat Stress helps former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related Mental Health problems including anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress- disorder (PTSD). Working in the Mental Health industry, the team at Expert in Mind see first hand how difficult it is for those who deal with illnesses such as these on a daily basis. The team wanted to help raise money for those who have served for our country, and their families, to access the help they need. In the next few months we are hosting a BBQ in support of Armed Forces Day and later this year, Zofia, Company Director, will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for this charity.
