Most of my career since 1983 has been managing construction projects. Held a wide variety of positions in this field from digging dirt on site to Senior Management. My construction experience is rooted in a solid site experience which is the base knowledge needed to hold higher construction management positions. Managed a wide variety of projects but mostly public works. I managed projects as Project Manager for General Contractors and as an Owner Representative to a public school District as a Senior Project Manager. In that role I oversaw 560 projects over 123 schools handling projects from scoping to managing designs up to construction completion. I also provide expert witness services to construction attorneys where I testified and consulted on issues like delays, change order disputes and Standard of care issues. Currently I have my own Construction Management consulting business in Los Angeles providing the services outlined above. Another passion of mine is teaching and training. I taught Construction Management and scheduling at Westwood College where I delivered the material without opening a text book. Just real life experience and the students loved it. That inspired me to write a Construction Management book in the same style. I published a book titled “Real Life Construction Management Guide from A – Z”. It won 3 awards and got very good reviews on Amazon. The book explained all phases of a Construction Project explaining theory plus real life tips and best practices, offering the kind of training people get at their work for years. It also injected the human nature element into all the tasks which is a big part of managing projects. The above skills helped me in delivering effective testimonies with the ability to explain technical matters is a clear and easy to understand style to an audience that is not experienced in construction. On a personal note, I’m a proud husband and father to twins that have been A students since elementary school with a very promising future. USA
